This easy homemade pumpkin spice whipped cream is the perfect treat to celebrate the fall season!
Made with pumpkin pie spice and heavy whipping cream, this delicious whipped topping is perfect for hot beverages and sweet treats.

You only need four ingredients for this simple version of pumpkin spice whipped cream topping- no pumpkin pie filling needed.
This autumn-infused homemade whipped cream is an excellent alternative to grocery store Cool Whip. Featuring natural flavors, it’s rich, creamy, and made out of real ingredients.
And while you can use this delicious whipped cream to top cookies, a slice of pie, or your morning coffee, it can also be enjoyed on its own. It’s one of my kid’s favorite desserts! (Take that with a grain of salt, lol).

How To Make Homemade Pumpkin Spice Whipped Cream
You can use a hand mixer or a stand mixer with a whisk attachment for this recipe.
Step 1: Add the whipping cream, sugar, pumpkin spice, and vanilla extract to the bowl of your stand mixer or a large mixing bowl.

Step 2: Stand mixer: Use the whisk attachment and whisk the mixture on setting 5. Mix until the ingredients form a creamy texture and start to thicken, about 5-6 minutes.
Handheld electric mixer: Beat on medium speed until the ingredients form a creamy texture and start to thicken.
Step 3: Stand mixer: Speed up the mixer to a 6-7 on a Kitchenaid mixer. Whisk for an additional 1-2 minutes or until stiff peaks form. Keep an eye on your whipped cream so that it does not over-mix and become butter.
If using a handheld mixer: Increase the speed and beat until you see stiff peaks form. Be careful not to over-mix.

Baker’s tip: The whipped cream should have a light, fluffy texture. When you hold the beaters upright, it will have stiff, soft peaks, and the cream will not fall.
Top with additional pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg, or a sprinkle of brown sugar.
Tips
- Do not over-mix your whipped cream, or you will end up with butter.
- Use cold whipping cream for best results.
- Play around with the flavors to suit your taste. Add more or less vanilla or spices!

Variations + Substitutions
- Make your pumpkin spice by combining 3 tablespoons of cinnamon, 2 teaspoons of ground ginger, and 1 teaspoon each of allspice, nutmeg, and cloves.
- If you don’t have sugar on hand, you can substitute powdered sugar.
Storage
- Store in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to two days.
- I do not recommend freezing this whipped cream.
I hope you love this homemade whipped cream as much as we do! Use it to add extra flavor and pizazz to your fall drinks, ice cream, and treats.
This simple topping is the perfect way to bring autumn infusion to all of your fall desserts.
