Equipment

  • 1 Electric Stand Mixer or hand held mixer

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1.5 tsp pumpkin pie spice plus more to sprinkle on top

Instructions

  • Add the whipping cream, sugar, pumpkin spice, and vanilla extract to the bowl of a stand mixer. See notes below for instructions on hand mixing.
1 cup heavy whipping cream, 2 tbsp sugar, 1.5 tsp pumpkin pie spice, 1.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • Use the whisk attachment on your electric stand mixer and set to speed 5. Mix until the ingredients form a creamy texture and start to thicken, about 5-6 minutes.
  • Speed up the mixer to a 6-7 setting. Whisk for an additional 1-2 minutes or until stiff peaks form.  Keep an eye on your whipped cream so that it does not over-mix and become butter.
  • The whipped cream is done when it can form stiff peaks and has a light, fluffy texture. The cream will have stiff peaks and will stick upright when you hold the whisk up.

Notes

  • If using a hand-held mixer, mix on medium speed for 5-7 minutes.  Then increase the speed for 1-2 minutes or until stiff peaks form and the batter has a thick, creamy texture.
  • Do not over-mix your whipped cream, or you will end up with butter.
  • Use cold whipping cream for best results.
  • Increase or decrease spices to your preference!
