Ingredients
  

  • 2 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 3/4 c butter softened
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c white sugar
  • 2 eggs

Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  • 3 Tbsp white sugar
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  • Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Combine the flour, baking soda, salt and cream of tartar in a large bowl. Whisk very well.
  • In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter, eggs, sugar and vanilla.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and beat on medium speed until all ingredients are combined.
  • Mix 3 tablespoons of sugar with 1 tablespoon cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • Use a tablespoon to create rounded balls of cookie dough.
  • Thoroughly roll the balls of dough into the cinnamon mixture.
  • Space the cookie dough balls 2-3 inches apart on cooking sheet.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are firm but the center is still a little soft.
  • Let rest on cookie sheet for 3-5 minutes after baking, then transfer to a wire cookie rack.
