3 pounds apples, peeled, cored and chopped I used Granny Smith + Gala 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 cup water 1/4 tsp nutmeg optional
Place the chopped apples into the crockpot. Sprinkle the cinnamon, sugar and nutmeg over the apples and add water. Cook on high for 4 hours.
Stir the apples with a spoon until a smooth consistency is formed. Enjoy!
For a smoother texture, use an immersion blender.
To cook on low setting, extend the cooking time to 7-8 hours.
Use any kind of apples you like. I like to use a mix of tart and sweet.
Adjust spices to your personal preference as desired!
